Delilah invites you inside children’s hospitals with Brave Child of the Week
She’s taken listeners to laughter and to tears on her nightly radio song request and dedication program; now, syndicated radio host Delilah is taking listeners to a place where both are often part of the healing process. Delilah’s Brave Child of the Week airs each week on more than 200 radio stations and invites listeners inside the walls of children’s hospitals to meet some incredibly courageous kids facing some very serious health challenges.
Told with Delilah’s signature blend of storytelling and encouragement that has earned her an audience of nearly 9 million people every week, Brave Child of the Week spotlights the work being performed by Together for Kids hospitals throughout the country to save and improve the lives of children.
Every week throughout the year Delilah features the story of a different child treated at one of more than 40 Together for Kids hospitals nationwide. To find your local Delilah affiliate, click here.
Delilah meets three-year-old Atia who just completed her final chemotherapy treatment at Comer Children’s Hospital at the University of Chicago where she has been treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia since she was 17 months old. Delilah featured Atia as her Brave Child of the Week during the week of June 27, 2011.
